A working base, not a walk-in counter
None of this is required, though having it to hand shortens the call and often means the right part is already in the van when we arrive.
Look for a sticker inside the door frame, behind the kick plate, or along the rear panel. A photo of it works perfectly.
Sounds, smells, any code on the panel, and roughly when it began. Small observations narrow the diagnosis a long way.
For ranges and dryers this decides what we prepare. Plenty of properties past the town limits run on propane rather than mains gas.
A long lane, a gate code, a dog to settle, or a basement laundry down tight stairs. Mention it and we will plan around it.
